Inspired Innovation Brand Licensed Product or Range Award

This award recognises truly inspired product creation involving a brand licence. Entries can be for a single product, range (of any type) or experiential in nature. It can involve collaborations, but a brand licence (non-entertainment) has to be part of this.
The entry has to have been on sale or visible in the UK between 1 January 2023 to 31 December 2023 though it can have had a presence elsewhere in the world too.
All entries will be judged on their inspirational innovation. Products/ranges can be entered into this award as well as in another category – or it could be for something that doesn’t quite fit existing categories due to their inspirational nature.

Open to: All fashion retailers with a presence in the UK who have shown a commitment to retailing brand licensed merchandise for the period 1 January 2023 to 31 December 2023. This can either be for a specific activity or ongoing treatment, either bricks & mortar and/or online.

Open to: All supermarkets with a presence in the UK who have shown a commitment to retailing brand licensed merchandise for the period 1 January 2023 to 31 December 2023. This can either be for a specific activity or ongoing treatment, either bricks & mortar and/or online.

Best Specialist Brand Licensed Retailer Execution

Open to: All retailers with a specialism (other than in fashion) with a presence in the UK who have shown a commitment to retailing brand licensed merchandise for the period 1 January 2023 to 31 December 2023. This can either be for a specific activity or ongoing treatment, either bricks & mortar and/or online.

Best Licensed Heritage Or Institution Brand

Open to: All licensed heritage or institution brands (including museum, gallery, heritage, charity or visitor attraction brands) that have executed licensing activity (including in the UK) in the period 1 January 2023 to 31 December 2023.

Best Licensed Lifestyle Brand

Open to: All licensed FMCG non-food brands (including those brands hailing from automotive/travel, home goods, electricals, DIY, media, toy and sports goods’ brands) that executed licensing activity (including in the UK) in the period 1 January 2023 to 31 December 2023.

Best Licensed Design-led Lifestyle Brand

Open to: All licensed brands from design-based properties that executed licensing activity (including in the UK) in the period 1 January 2023 to 31 December 2023.

Best Licensed Food Or Beverage Brand

Open to: All licensed food, confectionery, beverage, restaurant or eating places brands that have executed licensing activity (including in the UK) in the period 1 January 2023 to 31 December 2023.

Best Licensed Fashion or Talent Brand

Open to: All licensed fashion or talent brands (including celebrities and ‘name’ brands from the world of sport, music, cookery, art/design or icons) that have executed licensing activity (including in the UK) in the period 1 January 2023 to 31 December 2023.

The Brand Licensing Ambassador Of The Year

This very special award is to acknowledge an individual (brand owner, licensor, retailer, licensee or supplier) who has contributed greatly to the brand licensing sector. We invite nominations from across the entire industry – licensors, licensees retailers or trade suppliers - for individuals who have contributed greatly to the evolution of brand licensing.

The Sustainability Brand Licensed Range Award

This award recognises and rewards a brand licensed products/range’s credentials on the sustainability front. Entries can be for a single product or range (of any type). It can involve collaborations, but a brand licence (non-entertainment) has to be part of this.

The entry has to have been on sale or visible in the UK between 1 January 2023 to 31 December 2023. though it can have had a presence elsewhere in the world too.

Products/ranges can be entered into this award as well as in another category .

The Rising Star Award

This award recognises and rewards excellence among ‘new to the brand licensing sector’ in the United Kingdom who have shown real potential in the continued evolution of the sector. 

Open to all young professionals aged 35 or under (on 27 April 2024) with a maximum of five years working experience in the brand and lifestyle licensing sector. Nominations are sought from the entire industry for these special individuals from the retailing, licensor, licensee or trade supplier sides.
